In October 2015, it was announced that Gomez had been diagnosed with lupus, and she's since been very vocal about her struggles and advocacy for body positivity.

"It wasn't about how I gained weight; it was about how I embraced it, and that's just kind of my approach," she told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show On Air With Ryan Seacrest. So how does the singer and actress keep a healthy diet? We turned to Gomez's trainer, wellness expert Amy Rosoff Davis, to ask her what the singer ate to stay healthy and strong during a demanding tour schedule, as well as general tips to eating clean in the New Year.
