ClassPass Is Branching Out to Include Beauty and Health Treatments
ClassPass revolutionized the way we do fitness. Instead of sticking to a single yoga studio, barre class, or weekly boot camp as we were wont to do, we're able to hit them all while trying others out too. The company is partnered with over 8500 fitness boutiques, gyms, and programs, so there's so much to choose from. (One word: brilliant). Now, according to Sporteluxe, ClassPass is branching out beyond fitness to incorporate health, wellness, and beauty bookings for its users. This means we might soon be able to book a facial or an acupuncture appointment in the same way we would currently book a bike at our favorite cycling studio.
ClassPass, which is based in New York, is currently testing the new program with a small number of clients in its home city. These select few people have the ability to book all sorts of health, wellness, and beauty treatments through the company, including massages, facials, cryotherapy, float spas, infrared saunas, acupuncture, and more. "Expanding into wellness has been on our radar for some time," Fritz Lanman, ClassPass CEO, said in a press release. "Our users are a health-conscious group looking to discover high-quality experiences at the best possible value."
There's no word yet on when the official program will roll out (or even if it will roll out for sure), but we're hoping it happens soon. Other beauty booking companies, like GlamSquad and Glamazon, have proved to be hugely popular, and we don't see ClassPass's version being any different. After all, fitness, health, wellness, and beauty are related. It only makes sense to combine them through ClassPass. Until we know more, we'll be haunting old favorite spots, as well as checking out the best Los Angeles and New York–based wellness spots.
