The whole basis of astrology is that our zodiac sign determines certain characteristics about us. If you're a Taurus like me, you might be stubborn, comfort-seeking, and loyal. These sign-specific traits, along with the movements of stars and planets, allow astrologers to predict certain life events—even preferences and behaviors like those related to health and fitness.

This is a topic on everyone's mind come January. We will start up our ClassPass, eat more nutrient-rich food, and indulge in a little extra self-care. Some of our resolutions are maintained and others are forgotten, but it's a cycle that starts each New Year's Day. This isn't a bad thing. In fact, it's a nice yearly reminder to check in with our health and well-being and happiness.

While we're reflecting on 2017 and looking forward to 2018, we're already taking note of our daily routines, looking for ways to tweak them and make them healthier in a way that's sustainable, not short-lived.

According to Well + Good, there's one astrological sign in particular that Susan Miller of Astrology Zone predicts will crush this goal. She says this sign will focus on all their health and fitness pursuits and continue to do so throughout all of 2018. These people are the most likely to keep moving and eat clean. We're talking about Geminis, or people born from May 21 to June 21.

"In terms of health and fitness, it’s Gemini," says Miller. "They’re going to look gorgeous. Jupiter is in the house of health and fitness this year, and they’re going to be motivated." She even says Geminis will be most likely to fix up their workout wardrobe with updated pieces. "They’ll also potentially enjoy a luxury gym."

So that's good news for Geminis. However, if you're not a Gemini, like the vast majority of us, don't fear. This doesn't mean you won't be successful next year. Just work hard, plan ahead, and find some joy in the process. Maybe check out a different workout studio or class, switch up your workout environment from the gym to the great outdoors, or buy a fun new cookbook to inspire healthy meals. Those are just a couple of the ways we're preparing for our 2018 wellness.
